The junior scientific staff training is one central assignment of this network of excellence.
National and international doctorands are to be gained for the treatment of the projects by the wide interdisciplinary offer of researches, measures of advanced training, research stays and scholarships. High qualified Alumni (Master/PhD) in the field of keeping of farm animals and breed are to be trained by appropriate didactic offers and internships with the aim to educate the junior employees with interdisciplinary methodological competence to transfer new processes like e.g. genome based breeding programmes that became possible by the rapid progress e.g. in genome research and the development of biomathematics methods to their practical application.
Following activities are conducted to it: - Establishment of the „International Leibniz-Graduate School“ „Functional Diversity in Farm Animals“ („ILGS DivA“),
- Establishment of the interdisciplinary master programme “Sustainable Animal Sciences“ at the AUF, that is thematically lent to the network of excellence,
- Study stays of doctorands and students of the consortium at the international co-operation partners,
- Seminaries for students and doctorands by international leading scientists.
